This course will allow injectors to develop a better understanding of ideal facial features, including proportions and dimensions that create beauty. In-depth review of the aging facial changes in both female and male patients. A breakdown of the different neuromodulators on the market, dosing, location, and placement of neurotoxins. Injectors will be provided with the latest guidelines in regards to pan facial balancing as well as steps to managing vascular occlusion. Biostimulators including PLLA and CaHa, biosimilars like (PRP/PRF) and their placement in areas of the face and body. Approaching hair restoration treatment options to include prescription, topical, injectable, as well as advanced biologics, and peptide therapy.

Curriculum

Lecture 1

  • Understand neurotoxin mechanism, indications, and benefits: Explore how neurotoxins affect muscle activity, reduce wrinkles, and their medical and cosmetic uses.​
  • Master neurotoxin administration: Learn preparation techniques, injection methods, anatomical landmarks, and safety precautions.​

Lecture 2

  • Educate the audience about the aging process and volume loss in the skin, emphasizing the role of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin.​
  • Provide a comprehensive understanding of dermal fillers, their benefits, and applications in addressing facial volume loss and rejuvenation.​
  • Highlight contraindications of dermal fillers and potential complications, emphasizing the importance of patient assessment and risk management.​
  • Discuss the vascular occlusion protocol to manage this rare but serious complication, including early recognition and effective intervention techniques.​
  • Explain the rheology and G prime of dermal fillers, showcasing how these properties influence the performance, lifting capacity, and duration of results.​
  • Additionally, review injection techniques, insertion points, and the differences between cannulas and needles for dermal filler administration.

Lecture 3

  • Understand the aging process and its impact on collagen production: Explain the natural aging process and how it affects collagen production, leading to visible signs of aging such as wrinkles and volume loss.
  • Discuss the benefits of biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse: Explore the advantages of using biostimulators for facial rejuvenation, including their ability to stimulate collagen production, restore volume, and improve skin texture and tone.
  • Compare the risks and side effects of biostimulators: Analyze the potential risks and side effects associated with biostimulator injections, such as allergic reactions, infection, nodules, and bruising. Discuss ways to minimize these risks and ensure patient safety.

  • Review the procedural aspects involved in utilizing PRP, PRF, stem cells, exosomes, peptides, and growth factors in aesthetic treatments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their integration and efficacy.
